Expert medical and forensic opinions
Expert medical opinions are required, among other things, to answer questions from various types of insurance supplier: health insurance companies, life insurance, SUVA (the Swiss Accident Insurance Fund), social insurance, disability insurance and benefits insurance. They often help determine the length of time benefits are paid and the amount.
The expert's report will contain not only the results of specialists examinations, therapy concepts and the possibility of rehabilitation but also an impression gained in the course of a personal discussion with the person in question.
To better assess the degree to which an individual is able to continue working or retrain, it is often necessary and sensible to evaluate the person's functional ability. During this assessment, the expert tests and documents the remaining physical capabilities and limitations. The results often help the affected person, where necessary, towards reorientation in their professional and everyday lives
Forensic reports are required to answer legal questions with a medical background, such as law cases and for the courts. They are intended to clarify specific issues.
